Class Description:

10-year company Soloist, Daniel Fetecua teaches, leads workshops, and reconstructs Limón repertoire internationally. This class fuses complex traditional rhythmic structures with a focus on the Limón principles and dynamic movements. Throughout the class students are encouraged to find their own intentions and explore with weight, breath, fall and recovery, helping to train the body, while staying alive in the moment as a performer.

About Daniel

A native of Bogotá, Colombia holds a BFA from Folkwang-University of the Arts, Essen-Germany, and has appeared as guest artist in Pina Bausch’s masterpieces, Rite of Spring and Tannhäuser. Fetecua has been a soloist member of the Limon Dance Company for ten years (2006-2016) dancing main roles in Jose Limón's masterpieces. Daniel has also danced works by Jiry Kilian, Susane Linke, Rodrigo Pederneiras/Grupo Corpo, Lar Luvovitch, Anna Sokolov, Doris Humphrey among others. … Keep Reading
