Class Description:

Cori Kresge teaches a fun and accessible Cunningham Technique based class, open to all levels of experience. This class will take time to clarify basic elements and exercises set in the technique while offering individual challenges to more experienced dancers. This class emphasizes clarity of form, coordination of torso and legwork, rhythmic accuracy, spatial awareness, and creative choice making. Cori's approach to dance and teaching is deeply physical and energetic, present and playful. She strives to empower each dancer with tools to learn complex movement with ease, find balance and stability, and take new dynamic risks.

About Cori

Cori Kresge is a NYC based dance artist, bodyworker, writer, and teacher. She has been a member of José Navas/Compagnie Flak, Stephen Petronio Company, the Merce Cunningham Repertory Understudy Group, and is an authorized teacher of Cunningham technique. She currently collaborates and performs with various artists including Rashaun Mitchell+Silas Riener, Liz Magic Laser, Rebecca Lazier, Sarah Skaggs, Xavier Cha, Wendy Osserman, Esmé Boyce, The School for Poetic Computation, and film makers Alla Kovgan, Zuzka Kurtz, and Charles Atlas… Keep Reading
